9th January 2011: HAPPY NEW YEAR! :) As often happens at the beginning of the year there isn't much news but I did find this intersting interview
February 6th 2011: José is in Europe this week :) He and the band are in Athens and I hear that the gigs are going very well. Can anyone remember if he has been to Greece before? José travels to Barcelona later in the week and, according to his personal website, he is in Italy next Saturday, no details are given, does anyone know anything?
6th March 2011: After their successful gigs in Europe José and the band went home for a short break before heading for Orlando where they are currently playing three concerts a day at Disney World. This is the fifth consecutive year they have played to full houses there and the mixture of English and Spanish numbers has been as well received as always.
I have heard from Bob Conti who asked me to pass on the following message. "Please thank all Jose's fans for purchasing "The Genius of Jose Feliciano Vol. 1 & 2". We are approaching 2000 sales. Jose is truly a Genius, and worthy of greater recognition for being the Artist that he is. Gratitude and Best wishes to all."
Finally, in four days it will be thirty eight years since the first time I saw José live (with the LSO). It was part of a very long tour and I know many people remember that time, anyone want to share some memories?

22nd May 2011: Things have been a bit quiet lately and there hasn't been much to say but this is important! If you feel that José and his music have touched your life read this . The Facebook page mentioned by Susan is the hub of the campaign to get José inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame go there to offer your support or click on the contact button on this page and send me an e mail and I will collect names to pass on to Susan. Let's make a diference via this site!
July 10th 2011: The calendar on José's official site lists a gig in Belgium on August 14th and José is appearing at London's Jazz Cafe on 18th, 19th and 20th of August. Jazz Cafe is my favourite venue and, although I won't be there this time, I know the shows will be brilliant. I hope these appearances develop into a fuller tour with something closer to home for me :)!.
7th August 2011: José is to receive a life time achievement award from the Latin Recording Academy, a well deserved honour which came at a happy time as he and Susan celebrate a special anniversary .
Next week José will be in London, I can't go but this time I am well and my life is stable. I want to hear about the gigs and, more importantly, we need people visiting this site to know how great his performances are. Please send me reviews and I will do a special page as usual.
2nd October 2011: As I received no information about Jazz Cafe I had nothing of value to say last month.
I found this about a charity gig, I hope it did well.
This website has now existed for over ten years. I've enjoyed doing it and made some good friends through it, although I am now in touch with few of them. Two years ago Yahoo made changes which meant that I have to pay an annual subscription to keep the site on line. I have juat renewed this subscription but I am seriously wondering if the site has out lived its usefulness and, therefore, if this should be the last year in which it exists in this form. Lots of fans now use facebook and maybe that is the forum for sharing information about José. I'd value people's thoughts but rarely have feedback now.
8th January 2012: For the past few years the start of a new year has meant creating a new news page for this site. This year has brought sadness because my last update seemed to warrant no response. I feel I am talking to myself and, therefore the site will end in September. I have renamed this "News Page" and will add any news not reported elsewhere in these next months.
5th February 2012: José appears tonight at a festival in iqueque south of the Chilean capital, Santiago. On 16th February José appears in San Remo in an event called "San Remo, "World Hits of the Past", at which he will sing "Che Sara" with an Italian singer called Arisa who appeared at the festival recently. Thank you to my friend Fil for the information.
